All Walks’ is a campaign to encourage and celebrate the use of a more diverse range of models in fashion imagery.

We believe that the currently accepted ‘body beautiful’ in the fashion industry is far too narrow, and that models of all shapes, sizes, ages and ethnicities can look inspiring and aspirational in high-fashion editorials.

We promote Emotionally Considerate Practice across the industry, from the way journalists choose to write about women and their bodies, to the range of models designers and magazines choose to cast for their shoots and shows.

Diversity and individuality should be a starting point for creativity, not a block to it.

The W Project logo The W Project

The W Project seeks to build a community of inspiring creative women, and to put on events and exhibitions showcasing their work; thereby inspiring other creative women in the process.

Teo Connor and Loren Platt set up The W Project in March 2011 as an exhibition to mark the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day.

The W Project are friends of All Walks Beyond the Catwalk.

They throw a good party.

Miss Representation Miss Representation

Miss Representation is a documentary film and campaign; the former explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women has led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence, and the latter is a campaign to put right these wrongs.

One of the campaign’s most powerful messages is, “You Can’t Be What You Can’t See,” that is, if you aren’t exposed to successful, powerful women doing amazing, inspiring things, it is much harder to form aspirations to become a woman like that yourself.

All Walks Beyond the Catwalk hosted the UK premier of the film, screening it at the House of Commons in February 2012 (click for event film)
